The third stop of our birthday road trip was to Walnut Canyon National Monument... after some GPS shenanigans where Google Maps had us going in the wrong direction. (FYI to be sure you search for the National Monument and not just Walnut Canyon on your way there.)
On the day we went only half of the canyon trials were open. So we were able to take the short walk around the rim trail, but sadly were unable to go down into the canyon to see the cliff dwellings.
Still, the view is breath taking!
